About BaaSid

"BaaSid" is a name derived from the concept of BaaS (Blockchain as a Service), which refers to the method of modularizing and utilizing blockchain infrastructure to build various internet-based services, from web and mobile applications to data security services and cryptocurrency exchanges.

In typical internet services, various forms of personal information are stored and processed across user devices (smartphones, web browsers), third-party authentication agencies (social login providers, digital signature agencies), and centralized database servers (cloud DB, corporate servers, etc.). For example, when a user accesses an online shopping mall, email, address, payment methods, browser information, and login history are stored on the platform's servers, and during the payment stage, additional authentication is conducted through linkage with card companies or simple payment (PG) companies. When logging into SNS, identity is verified through APIs of external social authentication agencies such as Facebook and Google, where authentication tokens and access history are stored on servers. Additionally, in financial apps, user identity is continuously verified through a dual authentication system based on biometric authentication, mobile phone verification, and digital certificates.

Through these systems, users' major activities such as login, identity verification, content access, product purchase, remittance, and payment are carried out in real-time without interruption, maintaining a centralized service structure that prioritizes user experience (UX).

However, this structure creates the problem of information centralization. As individual platforms store user data on their own servers or third-party agencies, personal information is concentrated in a small number of companies and institutions. This centralized structure causes the following problems:

  • Security threats: Large-scale personal information leaks can occur if a single point is hacked.

  • Privacy violations: Collected data may be used or shared externally without user consent.

  • Data monopoly: Companies treat data as an asset and control it, but users find it difficult to have control over their own information.

  • Lack of transparency: There are limited ways for users to directly verify or validate how their data is being used.

To solve these problems while providing the convenient user experience (UX) of existing web services, a blockchain-based BaaS structure like BaaSid is needed.

Furthermore, the forgery, verification, and information disclosure of all data required for authentication align most closely with the value of blockchain. In particular, the issues of trust, source, and evidence regarding information and data generated by the proliferating AI can cause serious social problems. Accordingly, BaaSid aims to strengthen security for various data in line with these contemporary trends, develop solutions suitable for real life and business to provide to service companies, and through this, build the BAAS token ecosystem.
